What's Happening?
The Great Lakes Yield Enhancement Network (YEN) is inviting wheat producers to participate in its 2026 program aimed at enhancing crop performance and profitability. Now in its sixth year, the binational
initiative involves collaboration among growers, agronomists, researchers, and industry partners to collect and analyze detailed field data. The program, which began in 2021, is a joint effort by the Michigan Wheat Program, Grain Farmers of Ontario, Michigan State University, the Ontario Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs, and the University of Guelph. Participants are encouraged to register by the end of January, with the program officially launching in February. The initiative provides hands-on support, helping growers understand their fields' yield potential and the factors affecting it.
