Gardner Elementary School in Swansea has been awarded the Unified Champion Schools National Banner by Special Olympics North America. This recognition highlights the school's commitment to fostering an inclusive environment for students with and without
disabilities. The award was presented during a schoolwide assembly by Denise Larrabee from Special Olympics Massachusetts. Gardner Elementary is one of only 17 schools in Massachusetts to receive this honor this year. The school's programs, including Unified sports and inclusive classroom activities, aim to provide meaningful opportunities for all students to learn and play together, promoting advocacy and respect.
