What's Happening?
A collision occurred between a Singapore-registered passenger ferry, Horizon 9, and a Marshall Islands-registered tanker, La Digue, off Singapore’s Southern Islands. The Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore (MPA)
reported that the incident took place around 5 pm local time as the ferry was en route to HarbourFront Centre. Despite the collision, all 165 passengers and seven crew members aboard the ferry were safely escorted back to port by a patrol craft. The MPA confirmed that there were no injuries among the passengers or crew.
