Hyatt Hotels Corporation has launched the Thompson Shanghai Expo, marking the first Thompson Hotels brand location in Asia. Situated in Shanghai's World Expo area, the hotel is part of the Expo Place complex,
which includes art, retail, and leisure facilities. The hotel features 254 rooms and suites, event spaces, and three dining venues. Designed by GP Architects New York with interiors by SilverFox Studios, the hotel boasts a curved tower with a glass facade. Dining options include BAOBAO Lounge, Fishermen’s Pavilion, and TOTS, a rooftop club. The hotel offers eight event venues, including Thompson Hall, a large ballroom, and The Oval for creative gatherings. The location provides easy access to major event venues and cultural sites.
