What's Happening?
The City of Kissimmee, in collaboration with Osceola County Environment and Public Lands, has launched self-service kayak rentals at Shingle Creek Regional Park’s Steffee Landing. This initiative, operated by Whenever Watersports, allows users to rent kayaks
via a mobile app by scanning a QR code at an on-site kiosk. Available daily from sunrise to sunset, the service aims to enhance accessibility to outdoor recreation and promote health and environmental appreciation. Shingle Creek, known as the headwaters of the Everglades, offers tranquil waterways ideal for eco-tourism and family outings. The project is part of Kissimmee’s broader efforts to improve residents' quality of life by providing more opportunities to connect with nature.
