What's Happening?
A Russian drone strike targeted a passenger train in northeastern Ukraine, resulting in the deaths of five people. The train, which was traveling from Chop to Barvinkove, was struck by one drone, while
two additional drones hit areas nearby. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy condemned the attack as terrorism, emphasizing the lack of military justification for targeting civilian infrastructure. The train was carrying over 200 passengers, with 18 in the affected wagon. Ukrainian national railways CEO Oleksandr Pertsovskyi assured that train services would continue despite the increased security challenges.
