What's Happening?
Roswyn, a new hotel under the Morgans Originals brand by Ennismore, has opened in Mumbai, marking the brand's debut in India. The hotel is strategically located near Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport, offering convenience without detachment
from the city's vibrant energy. Designed by Paris-based Daphné Desjeux, Roswyn features 109 suites that emphasize living spaces over traditional hotel rooms, complete with lounge areas, kitchenettes, and dedicated workspaces. The hotel aims to blend work, leisure, and cultural experiences, with amenities such as a Technogym fitness center, an infinity pool, and a children's zone. Dining options include Fi’lia, an Italian restaurant focusing on generational cooking, and Black Lacquer, a Japanese listening bar.
Why It's Important?
The opening of Roswyn in Mumbai represents a significant expansion for the Morgans Originals brand into the Indian market, highlighting the growing demand for luxury and lifestyle hotels in the region. This development is part of a broader trend of international hospitality brands establishing a presence in India, driven by the country's economic growth and increasing tourism. The hotel's unique design and emphasis on cultural integration reflect a shift towards personalized and experience-driven hospitality, catering to both international travelers and local guests. This approach could influence future hotel developments in India and beyond, as the industry adapts to changing consumer preferences.
