Luke Kitterman, a 23-year-old hunter, tragically died while attempting to rescue his dog from a frozen pond in Clinton County, Illinois. Kitterman was on a goose hunting trip when his dog fell through the ice. He managed to save the dog but fell into the icy
water himself. Despite efforts from friends and first responders, Kitterman did not survive. His body was recovered after an extensive search involving divers and sonar equipment.
