Lyten, a leader in lithium-sulfur batteries and energy storage, has completed the acquisition of Northvolt Dwa, a major Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) manufacturing facility located in Gdańsk, Poland. This facility, which spans 25,000 square meters,
is the largest of its kind in Europe and was initially opened in 2023. Lyten plans to restart production and product development immediately, with the goal of producing commercial units by the end of 2025. The acquisition includes Northvolt's BESS product portfolio and intellectual property, positioning Lyten to expand its presence in the rapidly growing BESS market. The facility will serve as a key hub for Lyten's operations in the EU, exporting products globally. Robert Chryc-Gawrychowski, former CEO of Northvolt Poland, will lead operations at the facility.
