Spending, aims to enhance the center's infrastructure by expanding refrigeration capacity, improving food handling and distribution systems, and creating a space for nutrition education. These upgrades are designed to increase AfriThrive's ability to provide fresh, nutritious, and culturally appropriate foods to immigrant and low-income families across Baltimore County and Baltimore City. Senator Angela Alsobrooks also played a key role in securing this investment. AfriThrive, since its inception, has distributed over 2.5 million pounds of food and served more than 150,000 individuals in Maryland through its various programs.
