The Nature Conservancy of Canada (NCC) has launched its sixth annual Big Backyard BioBlitz, running from July 27 to August 3. This event encourages individuals to explore their local environments and contribute to scientific research by documenting various
species. Participants can use an app to identify and record species, which are then added to a national database. This initiative aims to enhance understanding of local biodiversity and assist in monitoring invasive species. The BioBlitz is designed to be family-friendly, offering educational materials and activities to engage children in nature exploration.
