Deputy Adam Shaw and 911 Telecommunicator Michelle Colvin of Tuscarawas County were honored for their quick response in saving an infant's life. The incident occurred on April 3 when a call was received about an unresponsive infant in cardiac arrest.
Colvin provided CPR instructions over the phone, while Shaw arrived at the scene within 56 seconds to continue CPR, assisted by off-duty firefighter Gabriel Ash. The infant began breathing on his own after several rounds of CPR and was stabilized by the Bolivar Fire Department before being transported to the hospital. The Buckeye State Sheriff’s Association recognized Shaw and Colvin for their life-saving actions.
