What's Happening?
Republic Services is providing Battle Creek residents with a service to dispose of fresh Christmas trees. The annual curbside pickup is available until January 23. Residents are required to remove all
lights, ornaments, and stands from the trees before placing them at the curb on their regular garbage collection day. Trees that are taller than six feet must be cut in half to be eligible for pickup. For any specific inquiries regarding the service, residents can contact the Environmental Services Division.
Why It's Important?
This service is important for Battle Creek residents as it offers a convenient and environmentally responsible way to dispose of Christmas trees after the holiday season. Proper disposal of trees helps prevent potential fire hazards and contributes to community cleanliness. Additionally, the service underscores the role of local waste management in supporting sustainable practices by ensuring that organic waste is handled appropriately.
