What's Happening?
Bangladesh is set to sign a government-to-government agreement with China to establish a military drone manufacturing facility. The project, approved by the finance ministry, is valued at Tk608 crore and
aims to enhance the country's air defense capabilities by enabling domestic production of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs). The Bangladesh Air Force will implement the project using technology from China Electronics Technology Group Corporation (CETC) International. The financial plan involves spreading payments over four fiscal years, with the majority of the funds allocated for importing and installing the plant and related technology.
