A family-led initiative in Surrey, supported by a team of volunteers, has successfully donated over 700 Christmas meals to individuals in need across the region. The effort, spearheaded by Matt Gaskin and his family, involved the preparation and distribution
of meals with the help of 60 volunteer drivers. The meals, which included 40 turkeys, 1,500 pigs in blankets, 4,000 roast potatoes, and 100kg each of brussels sprouts and carrots, were donated by local businesses in Woking and Guildford. This initiative, which has been ongoing for eight years, aims to provide support to those struggling during the holiday season. The meals were delivered to various locations, including Windsor, Maidenhead, and Aldershot, and recipients also received Christmas crackers and handmade cards from students at St Thomas of Canterbury Primary School.
