The Prefect Council at Harvard-Westlake organized a Field Day event on December 5th, held at Ted Slavin Field. The event featured various activities such as carnival games, an obstacle course, a relay race, and a surfboard simulator. The winning team
of the relay race was given the privilege to purchase food before other grades, with options including pizookies, pizza, and tacos. Junior Prefect Charlotte Im expressed that the event was designed to help students de-stress and foster community spirit. The event was part of a series of community-building activities planned by the Prefect Council. Students like Kaylee Kim appreciated the break from the usual academic pressures, enjoying the diverse activities available. Additionally, the event served as a fundraiser for the Jimmy Miller Memorial Foundation, which focuses on ocean therapy, with Community Council member Angela Ren contributing to the event's success.
