UK-based unmanned aircraft system (UAS) manufacturer Windracers is planning to establish a test and evaluation (T&E), manufacturing, repair, and overhaul (MRO) facility in Ukraine by January 2027. According to Windracers CEO Simon Muderack, the company
aims to expand its current infrastructure in Ukraine to support the increased deployment of its Ultra UASs in the region. The company has already delivered dozens of these systems to Ukraine and plans to produce over 100 more at its UK facilities, with a portion destined for Ukraine. Windracers has been collaborating with Ukrainian companies to test new sensors and payloads on the Ultra UAS, although the manufacturing partnership is still in its early stages. The Ultra platform has been involved in various missions in Ukraine, including kinetic, resupply, and intelligence gathering operations.
