What's Happening?
Seipasa, a Spanish company specializing in agricultural biostimulants, has been awarded a grant from the European Union and Ivace+i Innovación to participate in the MiCropBiome research project. This project aims to develop microbiological treatments
to enhance crop resilience against drought and climate change. The initiative involves identifying beneficial microorganisms, developing biostimulant prototypes, and validating them under real-world conditions. Seipasa collaborates with several scientific and business partners, including Darwin Bioprospecting Excellence S.L., the Spanish National Research Council, and the Polytechnic University of Valencia. The project is aligned with European sustainability goals and aims to promote a resilient agricultural model.
Why It's Important?
The grant supports Seipasa's efforts to address the growing challenges of climate change and water scarcity in agriculture. By developing innovative biostimulant solutions, the project aims to improve crop productivity and sustainability. This initiative is crucial for the agricultural sector, which faces increasing pressure to adapt to environmental changes. The collaboration between scientific institutions and industry partners highlights the importance of research and innovation in developing sustainable agricultural practices. The project's success could lead to significant advancements in crop management and contribute to global food security.
