The Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas has addressed concerns regarding fuel adulteration by conducting extensive testing across India. Over 2,000 samples were tested for chloride and sulphide contamination, with only two cases of contamination detected.
The ministry has implemented additional checks, including water-ingress testing at over 87,000 fuel outlets, to ensure fuel quality. The government has assured strict action against any instances of contamination or adulteration, emphasizing the importance of maintaining fuel integrity across the supply chain.
