Congolese authorities have quarantined a river boat on the Congo River following the deaths of five passengers, amid concerns of Ebola. The Yingfeng 2, operated by a Chinese company, was intercepted near Bende Bende port, upstream from Kinshasa. Health
Minister Roger Kamba stated that screening for Ebola and cholera is being conducted for all 255 passengers. The precautionary measures follow the death of a passenger who exhibited fever and diarrhoea symptoms. Teams from the health ministry and WHO have set up a mobile lab on the boat, although no positive cases have been reported yet.
