The Pinellas Suncoast Transit Authority (PSTA) is set to launch a new express bus service, the 727 Express, connecting downtown St. Petersburg directly to Tampa International Airport. This service, named after the local area code, will begin in October
and operate daily from 5 a.m. to 11 p.m. The route will feature nine stops in downtown St. Petersburg before traveling nonstop to the airport via the Howard Frankland Bridge Express Lanes. The buses will be equipped with air conditioning, Wi-Fi, and luggage racks, offering a low-cost transit option with one-way fares set at $2.25.
