Valley County Commissioners have finalized a road development agreement with Perpetua Resources to manage the increased traffic expected from the Stibnite Gold Project. The project, located approximately 40 miles east of McCall, Idaho, involves the construction
and operation of a gold and antimony mine. The mine is anticipated to be under construction for three years and operational for about 20 years. The agreement specifically addresses the impact on county roads, including Warm Lake Road, Johnson Creek Road, and Stibnite Road. Commissioner Neil Thompson emphasized the importance of ensuring that the project does not financially burden local taxpayers. The Johnson Creek and Stibnite Roads will serve as the primary access routes to the mine until the completion of the Burntlog Route. A recent landslide has necessitated keeping the Johnson Creek route open to all traffic, as it is currently the only public access to Yellow Pine.
