What's Happening?
The Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) are setting up a factory to produce first-person view (FPV) 'suicide' drones, employing around 200 ultra-Orthodox soldiers. This initiative follows increased attacks by Hezbollah using FPV drones. The IDF aims to reduce
costs by manufacturing drones internally, with the first recruits joining in June. The factory will initially supply thousands of drones, with plans to scale up production. FPV drones can be used for both offensive and defensive purposes, including intercepting enemy drones.
