What's Happening?
NASA has announced a new due date for the Step-2 proposals of the B.2 Heliophysics Foundational Research (HFR) program, which is now set for September 25, 2026. This program is part of NASA's Research Opportunities in Space and Earth Sciences (ROSES)
2025 initiative. The HFR program focuses on advancing the fundamental understanding of the Sun-Heliosphere-Planetary system, emphasizing the drivers and processes that shape heliophysical phenomena. Only those who submitted a Step-1 proposal and were invited can submit a Step-2 proposal. Additionally, NASA has updated the requirements for Biographical Sketches and Current and Pending Support, as detailed in the Requirements for Expertise and Resources Not Anonymized (E&R) Document.
