The Israel Police are actively searching for a 20-year-old woman, Aliya Joy Hirschberg, who is suspected of abducting her two young children and bringing them to Israel from Canada. The investigation was initiated by the Jerusalem District's Lev Habira
police station following a complaint. Hirschberg allegedly took her children, aged three and one, to Israel after a dispute with her husband in Canada. Since their arrival in Israel in August 2025, their whereabouts have remained unknown. The police have issued an exit ban on Hirschberg to prevent her from leaving the country and are appealing to the public for any information regarding their location.
