Open, tracked 302 girls from a Danish pregnancy cohort, examining reproductive development markers during infancy, and an independent cohort of 1,210 girls followed into adolescence. Researchers observed that daughters exposed to paracetamol during pregnancy tended to have smaller ovaries and uteruses, and differences in ovarian activity. Specifically, early pregnancy exposure was linked to reduced ovarian volume and smaller uterine volume, while later exposure was associated with fewer ovarian follicles.
