The Laguna Plein Air Painters Association (LPAPA) Invitational has concluded its 27th annual event, celebrating the tradition of plein air painting. Artist Jason Li made history by winning 'Best in Show'
with his watercolor painting 'Catching Sunset,' marking the first time a watercolor has won the top prize. The event featured 30 artists from various states and countries, showcasing diverse styles and techniques. Li's winning piece, depicting Balboa Bay, was purchased by the Hilbert Museum of California Art, further cementing its significance in the art community.
