What's Happening?
Coale Peace, a seven-year-old boy from Augusta with brittle bone disease, is featured on two semi-trucks as part of the Children's Miracle Network's 'Fleet of Miracles'. Knight-Swift, a major trucking company, showcases CMN National Champions on these
trucks, which travel across the country. Coale, who was born with osteogenesis imperfecta, has been selected as a 2025 National Champion to represent Wellstar Golisano Children’s Hospital of Georgia. The initiative aims to raise awareness and funds for children's hospitals, with all proceeds benefiting local facilities.
Why It's Important?
This initiative highlights the role of corporate partnerships in supporting healthcare causes, particularly for children with serious medical conditions. By featuring Coale on the 'Fleet of Miracles', Knight-Swift not only raises awareness about brittle bone disease but also underscores the importance of community support for children's hospitals. The campaign can inspire other companies to engage in similar philanthropic efforts, potentially leading to increased funding and resources for pediatric healthcare. For Coale and his family, this recognition provides a platform to advocate for children with similar conditions and emphasizes the impact of community involvement in healthcare.
