Michigan School of Practical Nursing. She initially worked as a licensed practical nurse on the medical unit before transitioning to surgical services, where she served as both an LPN and a surgical technician. Throughout her career, Cox has witnessed significant advancements in medical technology and procedures, noting that many surgeries that once required extended hospital stays are now performed on an outpatient basis.
