What's Happening?
North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University's Parking & Transportation Services is implementing a series of improvements aimed at increasing parking availability, safety, communication, and convenience for students, faculty, staff, and visitors.
Effective September 1, the office hours will shift to 8 a.m. from the previous 7:30 a.m. start. On the same date, campus-wide compliance with the License Plate Recognition (LPR) parking system will be reinforced. This system links parking permits directly to vehicle license plates, eliminating the need for traditional hangtags and supporting the university's sustainability goals by reducing waste. Drivers are required to display a visible license plate, and those from states not requiring a front plate must park with their rear plate visible to enforcement cameras. Custom front license plates are available for purchase for those who prefer to back into spaces. Additionally, significant upgrades have been made to the World War Memorial Stadium Lot (Lot 65), including restriping and increased capacity, and seven other parking lots have been enhanced. New parking capacity has also been added with the opening of Bluford Residence Hall Lots 50 and 51.
