Hilton, in collaboration with Higuerón Developments, has announced the signing of an agreement to open a new Waldorf Astoria resort in Marbella, Spain, set to debut in 2029. The resort will feature 120 guest rooms and suites, along with 120 branded residences,
marking the introduction of the Waldorf Astoria brand to the Malaga Province. The design of the resort is being crafted by three Pritzker Prize-winning architects, who are currently engaged in a conceptual design competition. The property will offer a variety of amenities, including indoor and outdoor pools, two restaurants, a lobby bar, a pool bar, and a spa with four treatment rooms. Additionally, the resort will include a fitness center, meeting spaces, and access to a championship golf course, which will be redesigned by Robert Trent Jones Jr. to incorporate modern and sustainable elements.
