A Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority bus collided with a restaurant in Washington, D.C.'s Shaw neighborhood on Saturday morning, resulting in three injuries. According to the D.C. Fire and Emergency Medical Services Department, the incident
occurred at the intersection of Seventh Street NW and Q Street NW. The crash involved a Metrobus and an SUV, with the bus subsequently crashing into the front of the Balkan restaurant Ambar. Fortunately, the restaurant was unoccupied at the time. The injured individuals, all adult females, included the bus driver, a bus passenger, and the SUV driver. They were transported to the hospital with minor injuries. Efforts are underway to remove the bus from the restaurant, with D.C. Fire and EMS breaking up concrete to facilitate the process. The cause of the crash is under investigation by the police.
