What's Happening?
Lidl has announced a Thanksgiving dinner bundle priced at less than $36, aiming to provide an affordable holiday meal option for families. The bundle includes a variety of traditional Thanksgiving items
such as a 14-pound turkey, russet potatoes, and jellied cranberry sauce. This offer is available from November 5 to November 26, 2025. Lidl's CEO, Joel Rampoldt, emphasized the company's commitment to offering great value amid rising grocery prices. The bundle is designed to feed ten people, costing less than $3.60 per person. This initiative follows previous years' bundles, which were priced under $45 in 2024 and under $30 in 2023 and 2022.
Why It's Important?
The introduction of an affordable Thanksgiving meal bundle by Lidl is significant as it addresses the ongoing challenge of rising grocery prices, which have been a concern for many families. By offering a complete meal for under $36, Lidl is positioning itself as a budget-friendly option for holiday shopping, potentially attracting more customers during the holiday season. This move could influence other grocery retailers to offer similar value-driven promotions, impacting the competitive landscape of the grocery industry. Additionally, it highlights the importance of affordability in consumer purchasing decisions, especially during economically challenging times.
