Russian MRO provider S7 Technics has reported a significant increase in its CFM56 engine repair operations, completing repairs on 100 engines in 2025. The company, certified by Russian authorities, operates
out of Moscow Sheremetyevo Airport and has expanded its capabilities by adding a second CFM56 repair line. Since its inception, the facility has repaired 380 engines, primarily for Russian carriers. S7 Technics also provides maintenance at its Moscow Domodedovo and Mineralnye Vody sites, with plans to build a new test cell at Mineralnye Vody capable of testing 50 engines annually. This expansion comes as Russian airlines, operating around 340 CFM-56-powered aircraft, face restrictions on accessing foreign repair facilities due to Western sanctions imposed after Russia's invasion of Ukraine.
