Curliss John Abshire, a 90-year-old resident of Louisiana, passed away peacefully on July 26, 2026. Born in Gueydan, Louisiana, Abshire was a high school athlete and later owned Abshire’s Floor Covering before a 25-year career at PPG. He was a member
of Christ the King Catholic Church and enjoyed gardening and watching his grandchildren in sports. Abshire is survived by his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. A Mass of Christian Burial is scheduled for July 30, 2026, at St. Martin de Porres Catholic Church, with visitation at Johnson Funeral Home.
