the UK Biobank for approximately 13 years, found that women who used hormone therapy were 10% less likely to be diagnosed with any form of dementia and 16% less likely to be diagnosed with Alzheimer's disease compared to those who did not. The study also indicated that women who experienced early menopause or started their periods late, and subsequently used HT, saw a 16% lower risk of developing dementia. The most significant reduction, a 26% decrease, was observed in women who underwent surgical menopause and used HT.
