What's Happening?
NASA has issued a Draft Request for Proposal (DRFP) to gather industry insights on establishing a Flown Space Vehicle Multimodal Transportation contract. This initiative aims to support the engineering, planning, and execution of transportation operations

The DRFP outlines two example task orders: one for relocating a large aerospace vehicle like a Space Shuttle Orbiter, and another for transporting a smaller spacecraft capsule. NASA is seeking detailed industry feedback to refine the final solicitation, ensuring it effectively supports complex transportation needs. The contract is expected to be a Multiple Award Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract, with a base period of five years.
