What's Happening?
The Russian Ministry of Defense (MoD) is currently testing a new battle management information system for its forces operating in Ukraine. This development was announced during a Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) member states defense ministerial
meeting in Moscow. The system, which integrates command and control at all levels from platoon to military formations, is expected to be deployed across all Russian Groupings of Forces by September 2026. This rollout coincides with Russia's planned strategic command-and-staff exercise, Center-2026, which will include over 10 foreign military units.
