What's Happening?
The U.S. Department of Defense and Lockheed Martin have finalized a production agreement for nearly 300 F-35 Lightning II Joint Strike Fighter aircraft. This contract covers lots 18-19 of production, with deliveries set to begin in 2026. The agreement includes aircraft for the U.S. Air Force, Navy, Marine Corps, and international partners, as well as Foreign Military Sales customers. The contract builds on a previous undefinitized agreement and includes a separate contract for F-135 engines.
