What's Happening?
Northwestern University has announced the formation of a search committee to identify the next dean of the Judd A. and Marjorie Weinberg College of Arts and Sciences. This committee will seek a successor for Adrian Randolph, who is scheduled to step down
from his deanship at the conclusion of the 2026-27 academic year. Provost Erik Luijten will officially charge the committee, which comprises faculty members, students, staff, and a representative from the Weinberg Board of Visitors. Catherine Woolley, the William Deering Professor of Biological Sciences in the Department of Neurobiology, will chair the search. The university has also engaged Isaacson, Miller to assist the committee in its efforts. The committee will immediately begin its work, engaging with the Weinberg community to gather input on desired attributes and experiences for the new dean, understand community needs, and solicit nominations.
