What's Happening?
Germany and Norway have unveiled the first Leopard 2A8 main battle tanks and PzH 2000 A4 self-propelled howitzers at KNDS Deutschland in Munich. The Leopard 2A8 features the Trophy active protection system and enhancements in fire-control systems, controls,
and engine. Norway's version, designated Leopard 2A8 NOR, is among the most modern and digitized tanks produced. The PzH 2000 A4 will replace older versions donated to Ukraine, with Germany ordering 10 units earlier this year. This marks the first newbuild for Germany's Panzertruppe since 1992, highlighting advancements in military technology and defense capabilities.
