What's Happening?
The Swedish Armed Forces have tasked the Swedish Defence Materiel Administration (FMV) with upgrading the Patria XA 203 vehicles, known as Pansarterrängbil 203, with new capabilities. The enhancements include readiness for a Remote Weapon Station and
are part of a mid-life upgrade for 58 units of the fleet. These modifications will begin in early 2026 at Patria's facilities in Finland. The upgrades aim to enhance the operational capabilities of the Swedish Armed Forces' fleet, which was initially delivered in the early 2000s.
