Kathleen was deeply involved in her community, serving as a docent at the Missouri Governor’s Mansion for nearly 50 years and as president of the Cole County Historical Society. She was married to LeRoy Herman 'Bud' Wilbers for 42 years until his passing in 2014. Kathleen is survived by her son, John L. 'Budd' Wilbers, two grandchildren, and two sisters. Her funeral service is scheduled for November 20, 2025, at the Cathedral of St. Joseph in Jefferson City.
