What's Happening?
Pace University's OASIS program is designed to support students academically and socially. Since its inception in 2021, the program has grown, currently serving around thirty-five students. OASIS focuses on developing students' executive functioning,
organizational, and writing skills. It also offers social gatherings and access to a social worker who helps students with meditation and self-awareness. The program aims to create a supportive environment that fosters both academic success and personal growth.
Why It's Important?
Programs like OASIS are crucial in higher education as they provide targeted support to students, helping them navigate academic challenges and develop essential life skills. By focusing on both academic and social development, OASIS helps students build a well-rounded skill set that can enhance their college experience and future career prospects.
