Figure and 1X have announced the ramp-up of humanoid robot production at the NEO Factory in Hayward, California. The facility, spanning 58,000 square feet, is the most vertically integrated robot factory in the United States, employing over 200 team members.
The factory designs and builds every critical component in-house, including motors, batteries, transmissions, sensors, and structures. The production aims to allocate robots for internal research, development, and commercial use-case development, marking a significant milestone in the vision of abundant, general-purpose home robots.
