What's Happening?
Thang Mo commune in Vietnam is actively promoting labor export and employment in industrial zones as a strategy to improve economic stability and reduce poverty. The commune has been working to change the mindset of villagers who were initially hesitant
to work far from home due to geographical and cultural barriers. By organizing meetings and sharing success stories of those who have worked abroad, the commune has encouraged more than 100 workers from Tru Xa village to seek employment outside the province and abroad. The local government provides support through training programs to enhance foreign language and vocational skills, and by connecting workers with reputable job placement centers. These efforts aim to provide stable income sources for the community, which traditionally relies on fragmented agricultural practices.
