Eligibility is restricted to households living at or below 200% of the federal poverty level, which translates to an income of $66,000 for a family of four. Currently, approximately 4,300 customers in Pittsburgh meet these income criteria and have been automatically enrolled in the program. During the 24-month period, participants are permitted to miss up to two current charge payments and still retain the opportunity to catch up and remain in the program. However, exceeding this allowance would result in their removal from the program, though they can re-enter by settling any missed current charges.
