DC. Richard J. Hatchett, CEO of the Coalition for Epidemic Preparedness Innovations, will receive the Jimmy and Rosalynn Carter Humanitarian Award for his leadership in global health security and pandemic preparedness. Shabir A. Madhi, a professor at the University of the Witswatersrand, will be honored with the Maxwell Finland Award for his work in vaccine research and global disease prevention. Kathleen M. Neuzil, director of Polio at the Gates Foundation, will receive the John P. Utz Leadership Award for her leadership in advancing global immunization programs.
