The Made Smarter North West program, a government-backed initiative, is significantly advancing 3D printing adoption in the North West region of the UK. Since its inception in 2019, the program has facilitated
investments totaling £1.6 million in 3D printing technologies, supported by £442,000 in grant funding. This initiative has enabled 27 manufacturers to enhance their operations, with projects expected to create 128 jobs, upskill 117 roles, and contribute £15.6 million in Gross Value Added (GVA) to the local economy. The University of Lancashire is hosting an event to showcase these advancements, providing a platform for manufacturers to explore the benefits of additive manufacturing.
