Malaysia is set to become the first nation in South-East Asia with its own rocket launch pad by 2029. The Malaysian Space Agency (MYSA) has shortlisted three potential locations in Pahang, Sarawak, and Sabah. The project aligns with the National Space Policy 2030 and could contribute over RM10 billion to the country's GDP. Director-General Datuk Azlikamil Napiah highlighted Malaysia's geographical advantage along the Equator, which allows for more efficient rocket launches with reduced fuel costs.
